Why did you join the IAA?

I joined the IAA because someone convinced me I didn’t have to do Model UN in college (which I really didn’t want to do again) in order to be a part of the club. That person was right… I love AA.

What is your favorite thing about the IAA?

My favorite thing about the IAA is the fact that I can be a part of a really small community, like AA, and also be a part of the larger organization.

Who is your IAA crush?

IAA crush: I’ll say Mark Steiner, but also the really cute freshman on UPMUNC.

What is your favorite IAA memory?

My favorite IAA memory is surfing in Peru last year with two of my favorite seniors, Kent and Fernando, right before I went abroad and missed their final semester at Penn. A beautiful goodbye to some of the best people in the club!

What is your spirit vegetable?

Avocado.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Asking a question that’s already been answered or sitting in a meeting/class in which the material could have been covered in an email.

If you could be anyone in the world who would you be?

If I could be anyone in the world I would be a more attractive version of Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Why did you join the IAA?

I remember being super overwhelmed by the approximately 947691 clubs at Penn during freshman year, but the one everyone was talking about and hyping up was the IAA. As an IR major it just made sense for me to check it out and after seeing the promotional videos at the info session I was pretty sold. After that it was just a matter of time until AA became my fam.

What is your favorite thing about the IAA?

The perfect balance between doing meaningful stuff and having fun.

Who is your IAA crush?

I've alway had a huge crush on Luca Fontes, COE's biggest heartthrob. Is he single? Olar tenho interesse seu lindo rs.

What is your favorite IAA memory?

Kinda weird, but I think my favorite memory is my interview during freshman year. I partner-interviewed with Shelby and felt so intimidated by how amazing she was, but it turned out to be so much fun and we both got in. Fast forward one year and we're best friends partner interviewing freshmen together. Looking back at how that friendship started and how it developed is def one of my fondest memories.

What is your spirit vegetable?

"Maybe you're like, a radish. Slightly spicy" -Chloe

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Slow walkers.

If you could be anyone in the world who would you be?

OG skinny legend, Mariah Carey.

Why did you join the IAA?

I joined IAA because some of the upperclassmen I met at Quaker Days suggested I apply, so I just went for it! I actually wasn’t considering SPEV until the New Member Social in Bodek.

What is your favorite thing about the IAA?
I love how much people engage with the IAA and all its branches, initiatives, and events. There’s a culture of not being too cool for the IAA.

Who is your IAA crush?
I have a HUGE crush on Anessa. I’ve thought she was super spicy since my freshman SPEV initiation. She’s only gotten hotter with age.

What is your favorite IAA memory?
Going to Paddy’s Pub in Cusco, Peru, the world’s highest altitude Irish pub. I was with the rest of my amazing Peru crew, had great drinks, and got the nickname of Respectful Pusher.

What is your spirit vegetable?
Spinach! I’m super versatile. You can have me raw, steamed, sautéed, in an omelette, etc. Baby spinach salad? Yum. Spinach Florentine? Amazing. The possibilities are endless!!

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Waiting on other people. Be it meeting in person or responding to a text, tardiness irks me.

If you could be anyone in the world who would you be?
Natalie Portman has it all. She’s beautiful, intellectual, adaptable, politically active, and respectful (or I’d be Lindsay Lohan, because I don’t know how to throw a party in Mykonos, bitch).

HUMANS OF THE IAA: Elijah Fullerton

Elijah.jpg

Meet Elijah Fullerton, freshman.

We needed the perfect candidate to kick off our very first Humans of the IAA post, and when we spotted Elijah across the meeting room chomping happily on his bag of chips, we just knew we needed to stop him and get his thoughts.

Why do you have a chip packet?

Because I’m hungry!

What is your favorite memory with the IAA?

I’m a freshman so uhh…. the IAA party at Sigma Nu was pretty alright.

Only alright?

The music was like... ehhhhhh.

Oh, yikes. What was the song you hated most?

The one that was like *indiscernible noises*.

Thanks, Elijah! He made certain to let us know to promo him:
