Special Events Board

This is the special Events Board of the International Affairs Association.

Director of Special Events

Annie Conde :

Annie is a junior in the school of engineering and applied sciences and is currently pursuing a major in Bioengineering and a minor in Mathematics. Born in Madrid and raised in Barcelona, Ana’s multicultural surroundings unlocked a keen interest in international relations, model united nations and languages. In the past, she’s participated in the Global Young Leaders Conference, debate and MUN. Aside from International Relations related activities, she enjoys skiing, cooking elaborate meals, eating froyo and pretending to work on problem sets while really online shopping. Though her name is anaconda, Annie is not into snakes. She joined Penn’s International Affairs Associations last semester as an ASG for ILMUNC, and is now psyched to be part of Special Events and PIRC. Annie is looking forward to meeting you, and making sure you have the most fun you've ever had partying in the IAA!

Deputy Directors of Special Events

Julius del Rosario :

HI ERRYBODY! I'm Julius and I'm very excited to be on the Special Events board serving you all.  I'm from streets of Baltimore, MD (the 4-1-0). Have you ever scene the wire? I love sports with all my heart. I play and follow baseball, football, soccer hardcore. On campus, I'm fairly involved with my fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi, Penn Club Baseball, the Penn Philippine Association and other organizations. I love to hang out, play dance central, bro out, or freestyle, so get at me when!! Get yo livers ready, cause  we got a sick SPEV board! Be safe!

Tim Chai :

Tim Chai is a sophomore in the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business, a coordinated joint-degree program between the Wharton School and College of Arts and Sciences at Penn. He is majoring in Finance, Operations and Information Management and International Studies with a specialization in Chinese (although at this rate it may as well be Chinglish) and a minor in International Development. Last year, he served as an Assistant Secretary-General for the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference, the high school MUN conference hosted by the IAA, and he is excited to serve as a Deputy Director on the Special Events Secretariat this year. Around campus, he enjoys embarrassing himself on a daily basis, thinking he can dance (seriously, play some Shakira around him), running from left to right on the treadmill (because he can’t walk in a straight line), wiping out because of rain, wet leaves and snow, and accidentally hugging random people who look like his friends.

Ben Huynh :

Ben is a sophomore in the Wharton School, currently looking to pursue a concentration in marketing.  He is also considering a secondary concentration in Management and a minor in Chinese.  Ben has participated in Model U.N. since he was a sophomore in high school so he is excited to be a part of the IAA.  Ben is from Robbinsville, New Jersey, which is 20 minutes from Princeton.  He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta, also known as FIJI, and in his free time he enjoys spending time with friends and listening to music.

Bianca Faccio :

Bianca Faccio is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Crafts majoring in Health and Societies with a concentration in Health, Policy and Law. Coming from the colony of Puerto Rico, Bianca's love for international ethics and policy began in 9th grade as a MUN delegate. But, as a Mexican, Bianca still is passionate about politics, decolonization and tequila. Bianca joined the IAA as an ASG for ILMUNC and Assistant Director for PIRC and is now VERY excited
to be Director of Public Relations for PIRC and Deputy Director for SPEV. In her spare time, Bianca loves to salsa dance, do community service, and stalk people on Facebook. She is thrilled to be a part of Special Events and can't wait to see what new experiences she will acquire while throwing amazing parties.
