Intercol Board

The job of the Intercol Board is to ensure that members of the IAA are prepared to compete at the conferences we attend and to take care of the logistics associated with traveling – from booking hotels, buses, and plane tickets to dealing with conference secretariats, assigning positions, and choosing people to attend trips. If you have any questions, please send an email to intercol@penniaa.com or contact any of the members of the board.

Director of Intercol

The Director is responsible for coordinating all of the functions of the Intercol Board as well as leading delegations at Model UN conferences and organizing the training of our delegates.

Roashan Ayene :

He began participating in Model UN as a freshman in college and has since been an Assistant and Under Secretary General for UPMUNC and an Assistant and Deputy Director of Intercol. He is excited this year to be leading the Intercol Board for the second consecutive year as well as chairing committees for both UPMUNC and ILMUNC. Outside of Model UN, he is a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and enjoys running.

Deputy Directors of Intercol

The Deputy Directors lead delegations at Model UN conferences, handle the logistics behind attending a conference, and ensure delegates are prepared to attend a conference.

Alex Haber :

Though he'll be studying abroad for the Fall Semester, Alex will be cheering on the UPenn Intercol team and helping out as much as he can when he's not partying in Italy. Having been involved with Model United Nations since his sophomore year of high school, this College Junior is certifiably obsessed! Alex has a special passion for Crisis Committees and he is excited to translate that passion into intense Crisis Committee training for the IAA. He is also the Crisis Director for Consiglio dei Ministri, one of the Crisis Committees at ILMUNC this year. Outside of the IAA, he is a member of the Shabbatones (Penn's premier Jewish a capella group), PennQuest (UPenn's Wilderness Pre-Orientation Program), Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honors Society).

Yadavan Mahendraraj :

Yadavan is a Sophomore at Penn in The Wharton School from Allendale, New Jersey. He promises that it is nothing like "The Jersey Shore" – most of them are from New York. Yadavan has attended 17 conferences over his 5 years of MUN, including 5 during his freshman year. Best described as a crisis enthusiast - perhaps crisis addict would be more appropriate – Yadavan also serves as the USG for Crisis Committees at ILMUNC. He's thrilled to be returning to the Intercol Board as a DDI and looks forward to once again going on an absurd number of Intercol trips this season.
