Santosh is currently a senior in the Jerome Fisher Program for Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Finance and Computer Science. He was born in New Jersey, but has lived in Hyderabad, India for a majority of his high school life. He is extremely involved with numerous entrepreneurial endeavors and often spend hours reading about small college startups around the country. He is a part of various organizations on campus including the M&T Innovations Fund, the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and of course, the International Affairs Association. He also loves playing basketball and is a die-hard Game of Thrones and HIMYM fan.
Decklan is currently a senior in SEAS studying Bioengineering and Economics. He is originally from Dallas, Pennsyltucky I mean Pennsylvania. In high school, Decklan had no knowledge of Model UN and in fact thought it was a modeling club, but he was lucky enough to join the Special Events branch of the IAA during his sophomore year at Penn. Last year, Decklan served as the Director of SPEV and is super stoked to return as Vice President for another wild year with the coolest club on campus! Outside of the IAA, Decklan can usually be found listening to Katy Perry, eating Pop Tarts, and avoiding the outdoors at all costs.
Katerina is a senior in Wharton studying Finance and Marketing. She was born in Moscow, Russia, grew up in Almaty, Kazakhstan, but most recently lived in New Canaan, CT. She joined the IAA her freshman year as an Assistant Deputy Designer of Secretary Board and is now serving as the Secretary of the IAA. Besides the IAA, Katerina is in Sigma Kappa, Wharton Cohorts, and Smart Women Securities. In her free time she likes to watch Netflix, go to amusement parks, and travel. Fun fact, she' been to 5 out of the 6 Disney parks around the world. She is excited for another great year with Sec Board and the IAA!
Shravan is a junior in the Huntsman Program studying International Studies, Spanish and business related subjects. Originally from the NYC metro area, Shravan grew up in the suburbs of central New Jersey (the GOAT state) and he's been participating in MUN for nearly seven years now, and has competed and staffed in over 20 conferences dating back to high school. When not doing MUN, you can either catch him playing basketball or baseball, arguing about various politics or sports related things, or listening to the best podcast known to mankind, Chapo Trap House. He's excited to continue competing on the circuit and getting to know the new members of the IAA.
Ana is a senior in the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business. Your typical culturally-confused international, she grew up predominantly in Auckland, New Zealand but doesn't consider her life story complete without mentioning her Serbian background and high school adventures in Dubai. When she's not throwing ridiculous events for the IAA, she can be found doing some form of exercise, drinking green juices, talking about how much she misses the beach, or planning her next round of travels.
MJ is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Political Science. She is thrilled to be working as Director of Academic Affairs this year. When she's not in class or IAA GBM, MJ can be found thrifting (Philly is amazing for secondhand), traveling abroad, brewing her fifth cup of tea for the day, or fostering a love/hate relationship with Grey's Anatomy. And before you ask, MJ does not stand for Mary Jane, Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan, but rather her first and last name, Madeleine Jacobs.
Catherine is a senior in the College majoring in Economics and International Relations. Born in Australia but raised between Melbourne, Shanghai, and Dubai, she is often made fun of for sounding like she comes from none of those places and for being confused about where exactly “home” is. In her free time, Catherine loves walking for hours on end, experimenting with new recipes and then forcing feeding friends, and trying new coffee shops and degressing into a state of over-caffeination. Her favorite pastime is traveling and, staying true to her roots, she would trade almost anything for a beach day or a plane ticket to a faraway place with warmer weather and enough of a language barrier just to keep things exciting. This is Catherine's fourth year on COE and she is so excited to be spending it with such an amazing group of people.
Matt is a Junior in the Wharton School concentrating in Finance and Management. Having lived his whole life in a tiny suburb outside of Philly, he's come to appreciate the chaotic nature of being in the city over the past two years. On campus, Matt’s a tour guide for the Kite and Key Society, a brother of Sigma Alpha Mu, and has worked for two years as a behavioral research assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. When he’s not doing any of that, Matt spends a decent chunk of his free time binge-watching Saturday Night Live and struggling through the NYTimes puzzle section. Matt came to ILMUNC as a delegate in high school, and his investment in the conference drove him to the IAA when he came to Penn as a freshman. ILMUNC and the IAA have become the cornerstone of his college career; he's incredibly excited to serve as Secretary-General of ILMUNC and as a member of the IAA’s Executive Board!
Risha is a junior in Wharton studying Finance and Operations, Information and Decisions (OIDD). She is originally from Manhattan Beach, CA, which is a small coastal suburb right outside of Los Angeles. When she's not working on UPMUNC 51 or hanging out with IAA people, she's looking for a strong açaí bowl on the East Coast or hitting the pilates studio or gym. Risha is so excited to serve as UPMUNC's Secretary-General this year and can't wait to meet any IAAers she hasn't met already in November!
