Member of the Week - Angie Ra

Giancarlo Bracero

Meet our member of the week, Angie Ra!

Q: Tell us a little about yourself!

I am a sophomore in Wharton and the College, studying business with a concentration in Statistics in the former and Economics in the latter (redundant, I know, but I thought the liberal arts degree might compensate for selling my soul to be in Wharton). I am currently a Deputy Director of Intercol, the competitive MUN branch of the IAA.

Q: How long have you been involved in the IAA?

I was an Assistant Director of Intercol last year as a freshman, so this is my second year on Intercol and in the IAA.

Q: How and why did you join the IAA?

The Intercol interview is the only one I didn’t oversleep my alarm for, and apparently they liked me. I was then brainwashed by Stephanie Herrmann to stay.

Q: What is your favorite IAA memory?

Singing in the elevators at ChoMUN. Crawling into air vents with Sasha Klebnikov at NCSC. Offending Venezuelan delegates with my awful Spanish at HNMUN. Pretty much every Intercol trip.

Q: Tell us something funny about yourself.

I feel asleep once when we were out at dinner for CMUNNY. Everyone refuses to let me forget it.

Q: What do you think you are going to take from the IAA experience?

Many hilarious GroupMe records and some of my best friends and mentors at Penn

Q: What is your spirit animal?

Leslie Knope

Q: What is your favorite form of potato?

I’m from Idaho so I love potatoes in all shapes and forms (say no to discrimination, yes to diversity)

Q: Who is your IAA crush?

All of our ADIs, they’re the best <3

Q: What is your favorite shade of yellow?

Quinoa yellow because quinoa is the only thing I know how to cook.
